Packing Silverware
Pack like a professional using the following tutorial
Prepare your packing area around waist height to avoid stretching and risk of injury to your back
Make up your first carton and fold the tops over, then make up another carton and sit this on top of the first. This will allow you to place items in the box without over stretching. Once full replace the empty bottom carton with the packed carton and start again.
Place a layer of scrunched paper in the bottom of your carton.
When handling Silver always wear cotton gloves as the dirt and oils from your hand can tarnish the surface of the Silver and decrease the value
Do not use standard paper as it contains acid which will corrode the Silver.
Use Acid free tissue to wrap the Silverware
Do not pack heavy items on top of the Silverware, although it is heavy it is also soft and can be marked easily.
Fill any gaps with scrunched paper or tissue to prevent movement.
