Packing Heavy Ornaments
Pack like a professional with the following tutorial
Prepare your packing area around waist height to avoid stretching and risk of injury to your back.
When packing heavy ornaments it is best to use a smaller carton and check the weight repeatedly as you pack.
Make up your first carton and fold the tops over, then make up another carton and sit this on top of the first. This will allow you to place items in the box without over stretching. Once full replace the empty bottom carton with the packed carton and start again.
Place a layer of scrunched paper in the bottom of the carton.
Pack ornaments upright using plenty of paper, tissue or bubble wrap.
Protect any protruding parts before wrapping.
Fill any gaps with dunnage to prevent movement.
Only fill the carton with one layer of heavy ornaments and apply plenty of scrunched paper on top before sealing the carton.
Label the carton as Heavy and Fragile.
