Packing Electronics
Pack like a professional with the following tutorial
Use original cartons and protection where possible
When packing a flat screen TV or a Monitor use bubble wrap to protect the screens and always pack upright in the carton. If the TV is large you can purchase TV cartons from a local removal firm.
Prepare your packing area around waist height to avoid stretching and risk of injury to your back.
Make up your first carton and fold the tops over, then make up another carton and sit this on top of the first. This will allow you to place items in the box without over stretching. Once full replace the empty bottom carton with the packed carton and start again.
Pack remotes and cables in the same cartons as the equipment it belongs to.
Place a layer of dunnage at the bottom of your carton.
Wrap each item in paper or bubble wrap (Pink anti-static bubble wrap should be used)
Pack Heavier items at the bottom and lighter items on top
Frequently check the weight of the carton whilst loading
Fill any gaps with extra dunnage to prevent movement
